Since 1917, the California Association of Collectors has served the collection industry. CAC is pledged to promote, stimulate, increase and improve the educational, social, economic, and ethical welfare of the California collection industry and the public which it serves; and to apply the collective knowledge and experience of its members toward maintaining an ethical standard of collection service.

Founded in 1939, ACA International leads the credit and collection industry in setting best practices and ethical standards for its membership for the protection of consumer rights.

Headquartered in Minneapolis, ACA International has approximately 5,300 members, including third-party collection agencies, attorneys, credit grantors and vendor affiliates.
